Officials with the XR Super Series have adjusted the event schedule for the Spring Thaw this weekend at the Volunteer Speedway.

With the weather for Friday, April 5th looking less than desirable, the $12,000-to-win show will be moving to Sunday, April 7th. The $30,000-to-win program will stay on Saturday, April 6th. Both programs will have times adjusted up by 2 hours. Pit gates open at 1 pm both days, with grandstand gates opening at 3 pm and racing set to start at 5 pm.

“We want to provide the best event for the racers and fans, and with Friday’s forecast being less than desirable, we have chosen to move that event to Sunday,” says Barry Braun, XR Events CEO. “Rain is not the only factor when looking at an event forecast. Temperatures for Sunday look much better and the experience for both fans and racers alike will be greatly improved by moving to Sunday.”

Braun added, “Trust me, we at the XR Super Series are getting cabin fever too. We are really looking forward to this event and getting our 2024 season underway.”
